After looking forward to this trip for a few weeks, we finally went to New York City on Friday! My alarm went off at 4 a.m. and I was really excited. I got on the bus at 5.30 and we were ready to go. We picked up exchange students from Syracuse, Utica and Albany. It was a really nice bus ride and we arrived in New York City around noon. We had a really busy program for just three days, so we needed to hurry!

The bus dropped us off near the ferry to go to the Statue of Liberty. The view from the ferry was amazing! We had a really good view of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline was really pretty. We walked and looked around at Liberty Island and we ate our lunch there. After lunch it was time to leave. We took the ferry to the city and we walked through the financial district to the World Trade Center. We went to the 101^st floor of the Freedom Tower for a 360* view of the city at night. It was really high and the view was amazing. New York is a really beautifully city and it looks so great at night! After spending some time in the Freedom Tower, we went to Ground Zero. This was a really impressive place, but I was really glad I had the chance to see it. We ate dinner at a restaurant and after that it was time to go to the hotel. We made a quick stop at a beautiful place for a picture of the skyline at night.

We did not sleep much that night and after a quick breakfast it was time to go! We rode the bus to Rockefeller Center where we saw the big Christmas tree and we watched the ice skaters. We walked around and we saw the St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Trump tower. We made a little walk through Central park and we went shopping for a little while. We ate our lunch at the Chelsea Market. It’s a really cool old factory with a lot of nice stores and little restaurants. We hung around for quite a bit and then we went to the Brooklyn Bridge. The bus took us to the bridge. There were a lot of street dancers in front of the bridge. This was really cool to see and they were really good! After watching them for a while we walked on the bridge. And also this time, the view was amazing! We saw the sunset while we were walking on the bridge. I took so many beautiful pictures! After eating at a delicious Thai restaurant, we went to a Broadway show! We saw the show Stomp. It was really cool to see but it was really loud! We were all really tired after such a long day so we went back to the hotel.

Sunday was our last day. The time flies! We went to a Christmas Market and we visited Times Square. We had a lot of free time so we went shopping. I really liked Time Square. It was amazing to see it. I bought some souvenirs and then it was already time for lunch. After lunch it was time to leave the city. I really loved visiting New York with such an amazing group of people from all around the world. It is so special to meet all these people and have such a nice time together. I haven’t seen everything in New York yet, so I will come back soon!
